Euhhh, Friedland's nickel play is Sama Resources, on the other end of the world, but he does not seem to be in a hurry developing it.

Tesla is going to use Indonesia's nickel, probably after they greenwashed it with Indo's own hydropower, and 'green' bio power from biomass left over from production of palmoil. They are discussing building a battery plant over there, and if your/Friedland/Benchmark hypothesis is right that there be a trend to localized hubs, Indonesia will be one I guess.

I am also a great believer in green mining, in the sense that I believe all mining will be green But I also do to that effect it will not matter whether you sit next to a hyrdropower plant or not, it is a matter of shoveling the co2 credits around, and making the economics work. And furthermore I believe BSX will prove that by building the downstreamplant in a place where they are better equiped receiving the third party concentrate they suddenly sollicit.
