Well, that's what they mentioned in the announcement from 2019 (Hamstronauts = claw stars). You may be right that things might have changed, but it is also possible that they haven't add the strong tournament element into the game yet. Perhaps they are building up the number of players atm, and with future updates it might be feasible to implement it into ESPL.

But anyway, I still wouldn't panic if they sell of ESPL, I just highly doubt they would do so. Any selling from Icandy at this stage is not a bad news, since they have sufficient money in the bank.

I think ppl are panic about FFG selling off Icandy, which is almost impossible no matter how you interpret it.
