$4?? Good grief I'd be happy with $2 at this point.
I think another reason to throw into the mix for the lacklustre move in the SP - Australia just isn't a progressive market - most people who are gung ho about managing their own SMSF just end up buying TLS and WES etc - there's just not the demand for companies that could have outsized returns albeit more risk - because they are happy to pick up grossed up divs from the big 4 banks/retail etc.
And then Aus doesnt really get on the global insto radar - not the mid caps at least.
I agree with the above - extreme patience required. It will come - albeit perhaps with an undervalued T/O approach because people don't see the wood for the trees....
