Interview with Keith Pitt in regards to PEP-11 Drill., page-55

Keith Pitt made a speech today in parliment further supporting gas and exploration.

Pitt was asked to expand on opportunities moving forward for the resource sector.

“Now Mr Speaker we've put $225 million dollars into exploring for the future - $125 million most recently, and exploring for the future will ensure that as we move forward there are opportunities for additional exploration so we can identify more resources, that we can find more jobs, and so that we can open up places like the Betaloo Basin.”

“So Mr Speaker there is opportunities for the resource sector, there are opportunities for more jobs in our sector, there are opportunities for continued growth are for us to continue to contribute to our Australian economy."

“I’m asked about alternatives Mr Speaker – Well, we know that those opposite are having a go each way Mr Speaker. They are having a go each way .. but that has become no way. They are not supporting off-shore oil and gas, they are not supporting gas, they are not supporting coal, they are not supporting those hard working men and women who are out there every single day putting money into our economy, putting royalties into the bank, ensuring that the essential service Australians rely on can be paid for.Mr Speaker, there are opportunities into the future and we will ensure they are developed, we will ensure people have a job and we will ensure there are even more opportunities then there are right now.”
