I assume because technically the sale was via Puna Mining, not AGY
So to compare it to something perhaps more relatable... a couple are in a JV together, investing in their lives together and both contributing to expanding their assets. The JV in this case should be 50/50, but I bet that whilst the incomes may not be at the same rate of return, one of them spends more then the other.... and before most of you assume it's the woman doing the spending, that's not the case in my personal JV!!!
I've no idea at what point the revenue will be a return in AGY's books, but I'm not expecting it until at least the 2kT PA plant is in operation.... in the meantime, I expect any revenue from the Pilot Plant will be reinvested back into further developing the Rincon Project. And before anyone baulks at that, just remember, AGY are building a lithium production company... which isn't focused on just one project, eg at this stage there's also Tonopah. So by reinvesting Rincon revenue in further expanding the Rincon Project, it means AGY have more funds available for other "strategic opportunities and acquisitions".
