True, and now thnx to Trump allowing the MP patriots to shovel a massive amount of RE con to the Dragon Joe actually has a trump card should China start banning magnets selectively or otherwise.
MP exports to China has clearly propelled Shenghe past Lynas to the second largest NdPr producer with 2019 production NdPr metal 7,346 tons, and MP contributes nearly half that in concentrate.
If Joe were to get cute and ban MP exports in the national interest that would prove incredibly disruptive to China domestic as they simply cannot replace that supply for probably a couple of years.
