A new Neuren patent application relating to trofinetide has just been published.
Compositions of Trofinetide (Pub No: WO2021/026066) was filed last August. The listed inventors include scientists from Neuren, Acadia’s senior Director of Chemical Development and scientists fromPeptisyntha SA, a leading cGMP manufacturer of therapeutic peptides based in Belgium.
Acknowledging that the current methods of producing compositions including trofinetide are difficult to scale to commercial quantities, the patent application lays claim to commercially beneficial new compositions and manufacturing methods by which substantially larger quantities of trofinetide can be produced.
