2 Cor 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell
in them, and walk in
them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wotsup, compare the Scripture quoted above with Leviticus 26:11;12 that Paul quoted from after he said ''as God has said''.
Lev 26:
11 And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. _ King James
It says nothing about God dwelling IN the Israelite people. Here is a more accurate translation.
(2 Corinthians 6:16) And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? For we are a temple of a living God; just as God said: “
I will reside among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” = NWT
That fits with what is said in Leviticus.
Even the walking among them was done by an angel that represented God. Paul was addressing his words to spiritual Israel, those whose hope was to rule with Jesus over earthly subjects. Our hope is to be among these earthly ones.
