Appreciate all the posts and ideas, clearly many are light years ahead of my limited knowledge.
But have been working some calculations loosely based on a tip of Volts, open/close high/low.
Now for tonight I have
Dow 8550 looking to go long
8470 looking to go short
Ftse 4480 looking to go long
4440 looking to go short
All very short term scalping!
Now my question for the more experienced is: with big news due is it better to just step aside as most trading books would recommend?
The problem I have recociling is that is the easiest thing to do, step aside from the freight train, BUT then again some good moves can be had by being set in the right direction. Cheers
