@Reddo -- Until Pentanet arrives (Nationally) For your personal crap internet circumstances... Have a look at Starlink (from Elon Musk) if your eligible.
Should be available sometime first half 2021 -- Will provide better than NBN Speeds (albeit that benchmark is pretty low) and comparable speeds with what you would get from a A Grade Service like Pentanet.
As for the Ping (which is what the NBN Satellite totally sucks for) -- The Starlink satellites are in VERY LOW orbit... so the ping will be even better than fixed line (NBN) or Fixed Wireless servers -- Reportedly 30ms-50ms pings (insane compared to 500ms+ from NBN Satellite)
The Price of Starlink won't be pretty -- possibly $120 a month ....

As for the relevance of growth and impact on an ISP -- Starlink WILL be a major player...
Even though I am a Pentanet Customer, and stock holder... and am optimistic on the potential for the company, it would be downright foolish, not to look at Starlink and how it will impact all ALL current provision of internet services, starting from as soon as the next 3 months..Three Upsides for Pentanet:
1. Starlink will be mainly targetted at regional markets. Where Pentanet currently has limited exposure. This places this particular stock at least risk than the larger telco's.
2. The Fixed Wireless tech is remarkably profitable at 80%, and given bandwith constraints Starlink has, that will not allow it to support metropolis centers effectively, with large numbers of customers, Fixed Wireless will remain the best balanced of a profitable, affordable and quality service solution, to suit the majority of urban customers needs for the next 5-10 years.
3. The Nvidia Gaming technology in its own right warrants investment attention. Particularly with the demands of gaming, rapidly catching up to the capacity of hardware manufacturers to CONSISTENTLY manufacture very high end chipsets requested for high performance gaming.
(DYOR on the difficulties of manufacturing the latest Ryzen CPU's... Basically the company needs to attempt manufacturing 100 chips before it gets one of a high enough purity/standard to be able to make a high end CPU from it. ** Numbers of 100 to 1 may not be right, but the principle is, the ratio is bad enough it is creating 12 weeks delivery delays and more)
Continued Issues like this will drive up top end hardware costs considerably... which makes the Nvidia Cloud gaming Solution Attractive.
