Skalo, the Australian Tax Office require you to submit a letter from the Administrators with your taxation return, to the effect that the company has been, or will be, delisted from the ASX, and in their opinion there is very little chance of shareholders ever receiving any of their funds back. I've got a couple of these letters hanging around here in the office somewhere, from previous experience.

On each occasion, I simply contacted the administrators, and asked them to send me the appropriate letter, which they did when they were certain shareholders would receive nothing and there was no chance of the company being refinanced or restructured "in the opinion of the administrators". Then I just give the letter to my accountant for inclusion with my taxation return to the ATO for that year.

I'll be doing the same here after the next creditors meeting.
