It's ignorance like this that's got us to where we are, facing the fact that as the virus mutates, vaccinations lose efficacy.
Firstly, COVID-19 causes permanent organ damage for many people. It's not like common influenzas or colds. If everyone gets it, it will be a disaster for the human race.
Secondly, the more we let it multiply, the more it will mutate.
South Africa just canned their AstraZeneca vaccine program due to low efficacy against the strain that accounts for approximately 90% of the cases they currently have.
A vaccine will only be a silver bullet if we can stop the spread.
If we don't stop it, it will never end.
Money is of no use to dead people. Those who claim that protecting the economy is more important than preventing the spread of COVID are providing the world with textbook examples of cognitive dissonance .
