Lol,.......Our first one, one of two, not like my mother, 8 of lol, came with colic so it was game on.
And naturally as first timers, you have no idea.
2nd one, was like a dream,....lol, she pretty much slept the night through.
Probably better that it came in that order, if it had to come at all, as such.
Both were a 24 odd hour missions, birth.
Contractions repeatedly kept stopping, hence they would give meds to start it off, but then had to keep ramping them up.
Technically the wife came in under the public system, but was in fact private.
Had to go down that path on paper as her specialist was totally booked out, in the private context.
Due to the wife's history, operation to remove endometrioses via this specialist while pregnant, as soon as the wife arrived at the Hospital, the specialist insisted that she was called.
Despite me passing this on several times during the circus, it apparently got ignored.
Specialists finally gets told when where approaching the 24 hr mark, hence she came busting in there and giving them what for etc.
In the mean time, wotsup unknowingly has a series of parking fines attached to his car, buggers.
Arrived 11pm the prior evening.
The second one, another specialist, male, but part of the same team.
And sure as eggs, same issues arrived, contractions stopping, but no one would listen, re what happened last time.
Hence as soon as the specialist hit the scene, no if buts a CC was on.
Wife, for whatever the reason, didn't want me to come into the CC op lol.
Like an idiot lol, both times I come unprepared, no jumper on etc, slim person no insolation lol, and nearly froze to death over these 24 hr runs.
But having said all this, picture my mothers adventures.
Me number 7 of 8, the 8th being 5 yrs after me.
When I was born number 7, the eldest was only 8yrs old.
My brother, 2 years older than me and 2 yrs between the eldest and the one bellow her.
No twins and you guessed it, no TV
Picture that scene with very little $'s to boot,..............is that one magical mum or what!
To top it off, she was a sucker for helping others.
Sucker in the sense, some were users.
