My guess is they're not announcing because they have a partial set of data, and don't want to 'guess'.
All they can probably say at the moment would be an estimate so broad as to be useless ( eg. 10tcf +- 8 ), and so long as there are no leaks, they'd rather wait until they can present something more solid.
