Should Epanko be reconsidered?
Why build a mine with all the risks involved when you can buy high purity graphite (as a by-product) from battery recyclers?
Epanko is targeting 60,000 tonnes of graphite products per year.
By the time Epanko is built NMT joint venture "Primobius" or many other companies employing the hydrometallurgical battery refining circuits will have huge amounts of graphite as a by-product. Ecograf has proven they can process this back to battery grade product.
