Is it weird that I'm shaking? My parents were always against me investing. I bit the bullet, bought some A2M, Telstra and VXR the day I made my Commsec account. What they didn't know is that I put $1k/$1k/$12k respectively. Was I crazy? Yes. Was it diversified? No. Was it better than going to the Star Casino and slapping away a few times? Yes. That's all I saw.

I put endless days of looking into VXR, stayed home from my casual role at woolies even, just to read into it. I almost doubled up when we went back as far as 5.5c post consolidation, but I couldn't do it. I was scared and didn't want to put everything into one basket (ironic from the initial investment), so that doubling amount, I put into ETF's.

Do I regret not doing it? Absolutely. But did this pay off and will it pay off in the next 5 years that I plan to hold for? 1000% minimum.
