Looks like there's going to be some FBT changes. Any business that holds property for the enjoyment of the shareholders is going to cop FBT.
Are beneficiaries of a trading trust going to be outside the shareholder/employee/associate relationship for FBT purposes under the new regime? I sure hope so.
Otherwise, owners who use their business as a retirement plan are going to get skewered.
