they had about a $100m loss in the last half..
where do you think this money went? It just disappeared and we can start fresh and pretend that this halfs profit is all we can concentrate on.
the $100m loss was covered by debt and payables, they’ll need to work this off before paying dividends.
in saying that, they’re in a much better position than what they were in 6 months ago.
As mentioned other companies are doing better and paying dividends etc, but those industries are booming, fashion is not here or here at the moment, so being conservative is probably the best way to go.
also note we didn’t have a massive capital raising (which some other companies did, so they don’t have the debt but have been diluted)
IMO the company is in a much better position than the market suggests, and I’ll also be topping up if we lose another 10-20%
