Nice quote @McQuade. "Markets, like people, are often irrational".. yes, but I suppose the question I am looking at is - well for how long does it remain this way? That old saying from Buffet (or Munger?), short term it's a voting machine but in the long term it's a weighing machine.

@Ashentegra Unfortunately the more the stock price declines, the more shorts there are - which is perverse really. While the stock price has bounced c.5% in the past days, it's still down and arguably in a downward channel (lower lows, lower highs).

I'm just trying to put myself in the position of the shorter. Are they just jumping in because others are, or do they fundamentally believe the stock price is overvalued to a sufficient level that there is enough downside opportunity for them to make money without much risk on the upside? Seems a crazy bet to me. Maybe they're confusing TGR.AX with TSL.
