In the last 50 years since 1969 there have been 20 federal elections. Labor won 9 although they won 10 of the 2PP.
seems pretty evenly matched. It was only one or 2 elections that the 2PP blew out to more than a few percent.
So if moony and dan are celebrating they need a dose of nasal spray.
The current polling of 2PP is 50.5 in favour of labor. Historically this translates to about a 6 seat win to Labor as in the July 2016 election in which LNP had a 50.4% result but won the election with 74 seats.
