It seems sensible to hang onto them for a while to see how it pans out - certainly looks very promising. It does become a cash cow when you start extracting 2TCF of gas doesn't it?
A wise minnow in a JV with a shark might insert a little provision to prevent the shark from acquiring too many of their shares. Maybe that is standard in JVs? (never read one) Someone familiar with JVs might have a better idea.
If so, Alcoa could not just snap up a lot of TSV shares on market prior to a take-over offer and would presumably have to pay something approaching the real value to buy out one or both partners.
There were some posts about Latent/TSV take-overs posted too, but takeovers often seem to suddenly come out of obscure machinations within a company don't they? Pretty arbitrary to think one way or the other.
