Using data from yahoo finance - i had to crunch the numbers manually but i think it's worth it. The VWAP overnight in Germany was EUR 1.3045. If you add up the lines that went through on the chart I'm getting approximately 250,000 traded. This is a massive increase compared to the normal amount that trade over there. I mean we are talking an average volume of shares of less than 10,000 shares - that's what normally trades in Germany. So using the current EURAUD cross rate of 1.5451; the VWAP overnight equaled AUD 2.0156 equivalent and the stock closed (on tiny volume i might add) at EUR 1.35 being a price of AUD 2.086. The majority of the volume traded at EUR 1.31 (AUD 2.024) in the morning session - i suspect it might have been a crossing.

In addition, its worth noting that that massive buyer that stomped onto the bid yesterday in our market for 570,000 shares at $1.71 which resulted in the market rallying to $1.80, my guess would be that he was from overseas - the bid came in after 3pm our time (their morning)...probably a buyer from Germany reacting quickly (and a bit recklessly i might add from an execution point of view) to the report phw has flagged.

And finally, I would add that there's every chance that the bids we see this morning are also from overseas. Bring on the german support!!
