Perhaps we can expect increased interest given Biden's 100day review of supply chain vulnerabilities, pointedly including computer chips, as featured in the AFR today.
Quote: "While specific proposals await the review's outcome, officials said they planned to tailor policies to conditions in individual industries. Mr Biden said he would seek a blend of greater domestic production, strategic stock piles of goods and materials, development of surge capacity and cooperation with allies." (end quote).
Further, Quote: " In a sign of the issue's urgency, Mr Biden met a bipartisan group of legislators to discuss the global computer chip shortage, an increasingly dire problem for manufacturers" (end quote).
