I noted your earlier comments and agree with you - SI is key to exploiting the IP in my opinion. While patents in theory tell you exactly how to make the item, in practice there are all sorts of "tricks" you need to know. Also, there are undoubtedly heaps of trade secrets which have not been disclosed.

You only need to look at the time and money spent on tech transfer to licensees to understand this point - you can't simply print out the patent and produce stem cells.

SI is one of the most outstanding scientists I have ever met - he is just brilliant. That combined with his business acumen has got MSB to where it is today, and (while I do have legitimate criticisms of MSB's management) I do not see a future without SI on board.

I am sure potential partners would see it the same way.
