Under the terms of the "bonus option offer" if you were an eligible unit holder on 26 February 2021 and you held 15,000 units in MGF then you would receive 7,500 options - irrespective of what you decided to do in the "partnership offer". These 7,500 options are issued at no cost to the unit holder.
Your total unit holdings on 26 February 2021 will determine how many options you will get under the “bonus option offer”. So if you bought more in January and February (before 26 February) and still held them on 26 February 2021 then you will receive bonus options on a 1 for 2 basis.
Remember though, these are options not fully paid units. You will need to pay money at some point in the future if you wish to exercise them.
So, all this holding true, yes it’s your lucky day. As lucky a day as every other eligible unit holder on 26 February 2021.
Strangely though, the closed class structure has often traded well below NAV and has done so for some time, compared to its bigger brother the open class structure.
