I do wonder if Daigou was so incredibly popular, and such a great money maker for Chinese students in Australia, why haven’t local Australians tried to get in on the action? Would seem it’s easier to get in on the action now with most stores having stock on the shelves. And plenty of airlines still carrying cargo between Australia and China.
I have spoken to people in NZ, Chinese included, who wish they could get involved, but unfortunately our MPI and bio security regulations prohibit the export of milk powder by Joe Bloggs. You need to either be the manufacturer or hold the appropriate export documentation to be able to ship it out of NZ.
