So prior to QF coming into those routes T-rex was losing money on them ? Yeah i don't think so , and if so then T-rex was shafting shareholders by staying on those routes and losing money . The Ansett story is an old one and if you want to look at history then that history has shown that 3 players domestically is always cut back to 2 in the long run and QF has seen off plenty of challengers in the past .
Qantas' publicity was around service and the worlds BEST safety record and that isn't something T-rex can get in a hurry .... the only recent publicity for T-rex is that they are the newest carrier on main domestic legs and that will only last until the novelty wears off for the media . Qantas is here to stay and with proven success that T-rex can only dream of . Study details and financials you say ....... well both of those point to Qantas being a winner and with a market cap of 9.2 Billion compared to T-rexs paltry 189 million and that my friend is at a time when the world is seeing the worst EVER period for airlines globally . Paint your picture any way that you want to and invest where you please but just remember it is only going to take 1 ( thats' ONE ) aircraft incident or safety concern for T-rex and it'll be just about all over red rover for them and the fact they are flying Virgins OLD 737s ( that Virgin didn't want anymore ) isn't going to help them much either .
