Good on you for having the guts to ask for unbiased opinions, few people do
I've traded in and out of VR1 for years. I follow a lot of tech micro caps and all the AI stocks.
I like management. I think they are genuine and well aligned
VR1 looks overvalued to me, and this will be more apparent if the market craps itself. The metrics I use are price to revenue and revenue margins
The product itself appears not too different from many peers in the space, many of which are much better funded
A lot of customer wins are in Italy, so makes me think this crew is leveraging industry relationships for its goals with little proven track record outside of this bubble. I know it's expected early on but this company has had a few years now - a long time in this fast moving space
I can't see it ever earning as much as it's market cap so any long term investor return will come from take over. I think the critical question is whether they want to go their own way or align to an existing ecosystem. The former is incredibly hard to achieve with behemoths all over the space. The latter is an ideal pathway if they genuinely have a strong sustainable competitive advantage in some regard (which I am betting they don't). I think this is the key issue to be resolved.
The time of exorbitant takeover bids from big tech will shut down overnight if the market has the big wake up call it is obviously teasing.
