Both Bogue and Sotto are located at the shallow water zone of a newly mapped miocene sand channel immediately south of the existing Chinguetti/Banda channel.

Both of these prospects have both primary and secondary targets. Bogue in particular, looks huge and has a thick layer of potential sands in the primary zone. My guess on the upside potential above the estimated >300m barrels is that it will depend on the integrity of the reservoir closure how much (if any) of the thickness is oil bearing. I would appreciate any comments from more qualified posters.

Another interesting feature is the multiple sand channels prognosed in Block 2 where Dorade is being drilled. My interpretation is that there is a lot of potential down there but less likely to be elephant sized fields.

Finally, I think the published Pelican data is unchanged but on a closer look, the potential for an oil leg appears to be incorporated in the seismic interpretation via the stratigraphic trap features mapped on the drawing.
