If we look at CSL from a historical PE band pricing point:
FY2021 EPS around $6.60
Back in 2011-2013 CSL was trading on a PE of just under 20: So equivalent share price today would be around $132
In years 2014-2015 CSL average trading PE was around 23: So equivalent share price today would be around $151
In years 2017-2019 CSL average trading PE was around 31: So equivalent share price today would be around $204
So from reviewing CSL average PE over the last 10 years, it looks like the market really spiked the PE above 40 last year.
If this corrects back down to the average PE we have seen over the last decade then this would imply CSL share price will drop to between $132- $204 (using current 2021 earnings). And remember this is what the market was previously paying for CSL.
