not really -------------- my actual grounding was in eyes - I was an optical technician and fortunately my boss also owned an upmarket mens store right near by - that gave me a very early understanding somehow into evolutionary psychology - I've no idea how - but, I always observed things and they stuck for some reason. (Occam's razor says that studying eyes and eye fashion, mens fashions etc. showed some tricks)
After that I was exposed to some top heavy female work environments where the clients were all fit young males - then, some psychology etc.
have a read of these ----------- it's all in the biology - we just don't like what we are - that's all
we are an evolving and social animal - one cannot escape evolutionary psychology
