The BrainChip Research Institute for Neuromorphic Computing in Perth is seeking exceptional candidates for a position of Patent Agent to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to various patent portfolio and competitive analysis activities;

Participate in invention harvesting, vetting, and disclosure processes;

Draft patent applications and work directly with inventors, the CTO, and other members of our scientific team;

Work with our US-based legal counsel to address patent office actions, preparing responses, new filings and the legal requirements regarding PoA and patent assignment.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications

Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Computational Neuroscience;

Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally;

Flexibility to accept new and different challenges in a fast paced, high-tech environment;

Positive attitude, creative spirit, passion for technology and IP, and strong motivation to excel;

Preference for candidates with US/EP/AU experience who have personally drafted patent applications; An active interest or qualification in neuroscience will be an advantage.

I don't think the above has been posted on here before but it seems that the inventions are poring out of the Brainchip Innovation Centre in Perth at such a rate that they need someone fulltime just to help them keep up with the lodging of patents and liaising with the US Patent Attorneys,

My opinion only DYOR.
