In the United States, they have attached themselves to a proven conman and pathological liar. There is no intellectual basis for the conservative movement anymore. Trump turned traditional conservative policy agenda on its head.
Corruption, debt, debauchery, pornography, infidelity, dishonesty, and nepotism no longer matter after Trump.
It's all memes, conspiracy theories and xenophobia. It really is the party of the ignorant and corrupt.
But seriously... How long can conservatives PRETEND to be pro-worker when they oppose worker's rights? It will crumble. Grievance politics can only go so far when the policy doesn't match the rhetoric.
