To be perfectly honest, I have picked you as an armchair general type.
Advocating the use of force without regard for it's consequences usually indicates that the advocate has no real prior experience with extreme violence so is just fantasising , otherwise it would indicate a person with true psychopathic tendencies .
The posting of sensitive information on a public forum like HC makes me think you were either drunk, reckless or perhaps an avid reader of Clancy.

But the truth of the matter is that china's strategic vulnerability has not deterred it from using force in its foreign policy, including Tibet.
It's use of force however, is narrower in ambit than that of the other major powers in Asia , and also of the US and Europe who have employed forces far from their borders and have militarily armed their allies across the globe.
By contrast , china's purpose in using force has always been for the near in defense of home territory and deterrence of invasion .
Those are the facts, there are several publications which go into detail and conclude much the same thing, when you get a break from weapons maintenance I suggest reading a few of them.
China's strategy has emphasized continental defense with a minimal second strike nuclear deterrent against superpower blackmail, that it appears to be changing from that is as a result of increased threat.
I am not a big fan of military force in the age of wmd's , thankfully there are growing alternative measures to employ while people evolve.
