    I hear you and agree, a spec stock is, well, speculative. I also couldn't agree more with the fact that an investor should hold themselves accountable for their own investment decisions.

    That said, a company is only as good as the team running it. Retail investors, like myself, can educate themselves about a stock in various ways but ultimately the deciding factor will often come down to digesting information released to the market about the company by the company, information approved by the directors. If over a period of many years a company never completes or realises its stated goals then as that not the fault of the directors?

    I personally will never invest in a company if Russell Moran or Gino D'Anna are involved with that company. My reason for this is simple, they have not been able to execute strategic goals they have set for MTC while running the ship. Goals that were set from the initial Lithium IPO were never met, iCobalt failed to get off the ground.

    in my opinion, it's not a one way street, Directors of a company should be held accountable for failings of said company. Investors should not be held accountable if the company Directors fail to achieve stated goals.
