These parasites are worse than DT's, most will not only charge you a Transaction Fee but also a Percentage (A bit like our Power companies).
Heard of one Shareholder getting double whammed with the Broker converting to GBX -> US$ -> Au$ !!!

The way to avoid getting ripped off is to hold your shares with an Australian Broker ~ IG say they use the "Official" exchange rate and only charge minimal commissions when you transfer from your IG account to your nominated Bank. Not tried it yet and don't plan to for a while.
