You answered your own question in relation to buying. It sounds like you need to really pick an entry point and just buy and hold and research more about the company if you are uncertain. Go through the last financial reports . If you believe the SP is too high then you can always wait for a dip. If you feel like you do not want to miss out the momentum then buy and just don't look back. This is a relative steady growth stock & ABB is only going to expand from here as an ISP and still in early stages of the cycle.
