So some memory of a chemical reaction is forced on some mystical property of water by striking the diluted substance 10 times on a wooden board covered in leather. This striking is the only way to get that memory across to the water.

We could explore this mystical property that is activated by banging on leather . MMM thoughts of a mis spent youth , a girl friend and a couch , but say no more.

It also leads to the question , If I had a bottle of Saturn Light HomeoP water , how do I erase its memory if I wanted to now change it to Oscillococcinum ( duck Hearts and liver to us non HomeoP's ) .

God forbid allowing two highly potent Jus de HomeoP's to mix , all sorts of mischief could occur , apart from quenching your thirst.

Should we discuss how a HomeoP solution is proved ?

You should do a proving of any of the nosodes in the 6X range, or better still Plutonium 30C. That's 30 serial dilutions 1:100 with succussion from the raw plutonium nitrate.
