re: .steven hawking: i was wrong ! The concept of a black hole is but for the trustful or the credulous or the science fiction writer/reader. These people like Hawking are not scientists but maestros who also have minders. The name of their game is prestige and funding not cause and effect AND nor just plain common sense.
e.g. When a large complex body “collapses” it spins. To not spin the universe would need to be infinitely symmetrical which is an impossibility. So the more mass .... the faster the collapse and the faster the spin. The spin then simply jets out the matter especially around the plane of the equator. It may then simply drop below a jet threshold of mass and rotation to become an intermittent or irregular body. i.e. no black hole but a redistribution of matter to elsewhere in the environment.
With galaxies which have evolved by accretion or cannibalism to be too large, and whose cores have become too dense and too fast-rotating, we don’t get any black hole either but we can get similar huge galactic jets redistributing matter.
So there are no black holes but numerous events that have a cause, a build-up, a crisis (or intermittent crises), a decline and maybe an end as matter is redistributed to form other bodies. Kind of explains how we have an infinite forever evolving universe, where whatever happens to a thing is the result of that infinite variety of matter in motion within and without. All these evolving processes are irreversible and are subjected to divergence and/or convergence from other pusher things.
Sorry but it's just plain common sense although we all love someone to tickle our fancy.
