Re Hunt Bros importance

Thank you for the kind words. I am flattered that the board is reading my meandering posts.

I went through the state well database to identify any notable offset wells to see what the neighbors are doing and stumbled across the Hunt Bros name and recognized the name as major players in the 90’s.

Didn’t know the significance until GJ explained it so effectively on his latest video. Here are my thoughts and speculation.

1. The HB drilled into the Guinda zone and made a significant gas discovery. However I suspect the 3D seismic was non existent back then.

2. GJ does his analysis and notices a significant anomaly (bright spot) at Borba and then compares it to the HB well and sees the same bright spot. This type of detective work is an important part of building an exploration model. A real Sherlock Holmes piece of work.

3. GJ now knows his seismic anomaly at Borba is confirmed with real logs and well data from the HB well and through his analysis estimates the anomaly in Borba is updip (higher up) and should display enhanced gas pay.

4. I had to listen to the video a couple of times and I think I now understand the significance of this breakthrough info relating to the Hunt Bros well data.

I am sure there are others on the board that are more experienced in this type of analysis. Would be keen to hear their views.
