What you said last, usually especially in oppies are in the money you pay a small premium for the leverage. This decreases as expiry time approaches and in the end you pay no premium for leverage.
Lots, probably the majority of oppies in the majority of companies don't end up in the money, but those that do can offer fantastic leverage.
You do the calcs on 10k invested in the OAs at the current price of around 1.5c or 10k invested in shares at 5.9c if the heads reach 15c. Even without leverage premium the potential rate of growth is far higher with the options...
But then there is the increased risk, so no advice on how or where to invest given.
