So as I have CORRECTLY previously state it is very possible regognised as an accountant both by a professional body and under corporations law, without a degree.
as for APES 110 sec 150 is not meant to curb advertising as you have incorrectly stated.
nothing in APES 110 makes any mention what so ever of curbing, limiting or restricting accountants from advertising nor does anything else produced by any of the accounting bodies, infact the bodies in large encourage members to advertise.
What APES 110 does do is state that advertising must not be misleading, or state abilities or qualifications or discredit the sercives or work of other accounants, Not to much different to the legal requirements under the trade practices act and codes of conducts relevant to most other professional bodies, organisations and groups.
And I have seen absolutely noting here of anyone advertising. Something that is against the post guidlines and code of conduct of this site. So if you feel someone is advertising maybe you should lodge a TUO instead of accusing someone of breaching a code you clearly know very little about.
Also APES 110 is a code of conduct relating to how accountants conduct themselves in their profession and business dealings NOT THEIR PRIVATE LIVES on a public website forum even if they make it known they are an accountant.
An accountants actions in his or her private life may lead that person to be deemed not a fit and proper person or not of good character by the professional body they belong to and therefore their membership revoked or not renewed but you are basically talking about criminal convictions and similar here and even then in most cases this would not be severe enough
Again a you are using a little bit of information you have gained from Google and attempted to porove soemthing you very clearly are not
Finally I did not state "only Accountants can quote APES" but as you have very clearly demonstrated, people with little or no professional training should be careful relying on such a document, especially when they are accusing someone of breaching,a very serious accusation, when they very clearly have not got a clue what they are on about.
