US are defeintely worried by Tamiflu resistance (link below). The main point of the article seems to be that if the swine flu has 'sex' with the Tamiflu-resistant seasonal flu then a Tamiflu-resistant swine flu could be born. (Relenza does not suffer from resistance.)
This concern should heavily influence the US government's $1.5-2 billion budget for pandemic planning in regards to the stockpiling of antivirals - i.e. Relenza must be considered much preferred to Tamiflu.
Commercially, this also is highly beneficial to the LANI drug - phase 3 results released in the coming weeks.
