They haven't even done clinical trial to show that using APS with NRS will give a more accurate assessment of pain so why would patient want to use this with the additional APS process. If ED want to digitize the NRS assessments, use an ipad with a digital form for the patient to fill. You don't think a conscious patient's facial expression will subjectively change if a camera is on them and start to smile.....
