For RP it really is a numbers game - and unlike little old NZ, the global subscription numbers for a premium online rugby destination is potentially very large.
Even if RP could only charge NZ$20/month (US$15/month)...
1 million subs would generate NZ$240M of additional revenue.
5 million subs would generate NZ$1.2B of additional revenue.
I expect RP could charge more than NZ$20/month if they continue to secure important rights like SR NZ in key geographical locations.
Clearly this will not happen overnight, but the potential upside is very big.
And remember, I am a very patient man.
