Transylvanian Honeymoon – through forests and villages.
I mentioned that the horse chosen for me is Hungarian Half-heavy, traditionally, a mountain timber hurler. Rudy has hurled and cantered me several times a day through forest and streams, up rugged slopes and through the occasional groups of bellowing very large sheep dogs.
My trusty Hungarian tractor always wants to take the lead, but that is reserved for our leader, Agi. She calls out as we enter blind corners in the forest so as not to startle any bears. Although there are lynx, wolves and bears through all these forests, the most dangerous encounter would be a mother bear protecting her cubs.
