Its interesting that you mention the Philippines. Have you compared the unbanked stats for Phil to Malaysia's?
In the Philippines 70% of their 110 million population, or 75 million people, is unbanked whilst in Malaysia only 8% of their 32 million population, or 2.5 million people, is unbanked. Give me a financial services company targeting the Philippines, right now, any day over IOU.
If IOU go into the Philippines without a ground game, then all I say is good luck with that one.
