Today 's market reaction was the opposite to what i should be. I blame the overall hype prior to the announcement. Todays' Ann was only one step short of getting the approval, but market didnt see it!.
Below is the message got from SA from someone who works in amining company and neighbouring our WBJ project.
"The catchment in which the proposed mining site is highly developed. The minister is performing her duties by insuring there will be no impact on the water use and the aquatic ecosystem.
The main impacts from the site would be acid mine drainage from spills and leaks, and sediments mostly during construction and decommissioning.
the minister wants to stress the point on the need of adequate design, operation and maintenance of the pipeline and dam and responsible construction and decommissioning, I am aware the above are present.
She is highlighting the important points, the same points that have been presented to Harmony and Anglogold Ashanti. No more and no less. It was expected and work will move on soon."
