Not that I profess to understand any of it, but I think the crazy volumes was as a result of the re-balancing of the Indices. Not necessarily new buyers coming into the market. It also happened to a number of other stocks that I follow that entered the AllOrds/ASX 100/200 and 300 etc. Apparently it happens quarterly on the 3rd Friday of March, June, Sept and Dec.
So would appear to be "nothing to see here?!?"
