@wotsup - please, please, read your own message to yourself before you post it. It is full of all the things you decry so much.
I see this exchange as an exercise of one-up-manship, maybe Mr Gordon deserves it, but YOU as the man who has so many answers and words saying: "I know better than you" repeated so often and

    - your general condescension and name-calling?
    and I quote: 'chum'
    'presenting lies'
accusing him of presenting 'Satan's word'
    calling him 'blind'

Jesus 'hates' - well yes, he tossed the money lenders from the temple, because he realised that reliance on a professional class of priests and their congregations and reliance on a dusty old book, had produced these hypocrites, these people so unworthy of the affection of G.d - yet he also had the message of God's Grace for them as well.

and why oh why is it necessary in the Holy Book to repeat the phrase of 'God who cannot lie' - is there the slightest doubt that an almighty being could even be bothered to lie to his adoring children? Isn't that incantation a sign that the devotee isn't quite sure, so he has to repeat the mantra 'God cannot lie'?

I would have thought an Almighty Being has no reason, no calling. to lower himself in front of his adoring public by lying to them?
So why the repetetetetetitions of the mantra - the "God who cannot lie" like a stuck record? Is it to assuage the priests' nagging suspicions, that - maybe - he - the priest - is presenting lies for an ulterior motive maybe his honour, his status, his expensive, gold-embroidered clothes, a beautiful temple to house the 'things of God' in? Maybe that should be questioned.

Have you also forgotten that at least 5 1/1 billion people on this planet are not Christian? What becomes of them? do they figure in God's plan?

    Go well
    Taurisk
